Please note, there is a 3.6% credit card processing fee (online convenience fee). We can also accept cash or check, please drop off to the Parish Office during office hours, M-F, 8a-4pm. Please make checks payable to Divine Redeemer and in the “memo” line state the name of the study.

CALLED AND GIFTED COURSE PURPOSE

God is calling you to a unique purpose in life, a work of love that only you can do. Discern your charisms (spiritual gifts) and begin to discern God’s call. You have received gifts in Baptism and Confirmation through which God intends His love to reach others. Come and discover these charisms in you!

SPECIAL NOTE: COURSE ONLY INTENDED FOR ADULTS AND NOT YOUTH

Please note that the Called and Gifted Course is only intended for adults and not youth. Charisms usually develop after we begin the walk of discipleship, so a narrow life experience (as many teens have) often means charisms have not yet emerged which leads to artificial, misleading low scores on the inventory (which is designed for an adult experience). Also, teens tend to compare themselves with others and this can lead them to a sense of failure or that they have not been gifted by God.

CALLED AND GIFTED COURSE CONTENT

  1. Access to one-time use of the online Catholic Spiritual Gifts Inventory
    • This inventory helps you identify your personal potential charisms
    • Complete this part before the Confirmation retreat
  2. Unlimited access to the Called and Gifted online video resources
    • Suggest watching these after the Confirmation retreat
  3. The Complete Resource Manual which is intended to guide you through all three parts of the Called and Gifted Process, the manual consists of the following:
    • Introductory Workshop Notes
      • Discuss the role charisms play in God’s calling for your life and descriptions of the 23 different charisms.
    • Interview Preparation (strongly encouraged)
      • One hour session with a trained interviewer (separate fee applies).
      • The objective is to help you sift through your inventory results and determine where to start your discernment.
      • If interested, this would take place after the Confirmation retreat and after completing steps 1 and 2 above.
    • Discernment in Depth (strongly encouraged)
      • Includes a detailed discernment guide
      • If interested, this would take place after interview.

DELIVERY OF COURSE MATERIALS: Those who purchase the Called and Gifted Course will receive the manual during the Confirmation retreat.
